Our
Mission
To
welcome
The Marian
Centre is committed to the gospel values of peace, justice
and love. Through our service of others and the valuing of
each individual of infinite worth – we proclaim the gospel.
To
share with others
As
Christians we cannot help but follow the instruction of the
risen Lord “Go out into the whole world and make disciples
of all nations.”
We
describe ourselves as a Centre for Evangelisation so that we
can keep our minds focussed on this primary mission of the
Church. Our prayer is that we can play our part in the new
evangelisation and effectively share the love of God, poured
out in Jesus.
We model
ourselves on Mary who was the first to share Jesus with the
world.
To
praise God
Mary
praised God even in the midst of incredible turbulence in
her life. We too know that we can only find the strength for
the journey by taking time to magnify God. |

Hire the
Centre
The Lourdes Room A
large room ideal for conferences or retreats with a modern
audio visual system in place which includes a 'loop' feature
for the hearing impaired. The room can comfortably seat 80
people 'theatre style' or 60 'cafe style'. There is access
to a servery which has tea and coffee making facilities.
The Walsingham Room A
smaller room linked to the Lourdes Room is ideal for group
break out sessions for your event. However it also has
independent access from the main corridor so is ideal as a
meeting room in its own right. Seats 16 'cafe style'. It
also has use of the tea/coffee servery via a hatch.
The Fatima Room This
is our smallest room and is perfect for group work as part
of a larger event (as it can also be accessed from the main
Lourdes Room) or for a small committee meeting via its own
independent access door. Its capacity is 12. The tea/coffee
servery is accessible via a hatch.
The Centre does not have its
own car park - but there is plentiful on-street and other
car parking in the local area. Also
public transport links are excellent.
The tariff is competitively
priced with a base price of £19 per hour for the Lourdes
Room and servery- but there are flexible options for
putting together a very cost effective package. For example
the Marian Centre has a day rate for an self managed
away-day or day retreat of £100. We can also arrange
catering and spiritual/liturgical input.
